Perth Mounted Rifle Volunteers
Gazette approval was given on 9 May 1894 to form the "Perth Mounted Rifle Volunteers", with an Establishment of 40 all ranks, under the Command of Captain E. J. A. Haynes.
Generally speaking the corps was not a success. In 1894 corps strength stood at 44 but by the end of 1895 it had fallen to 24. It is not surprising that disbandment was ordered as from 30 June 1897.
