The General Service Reinforcements, 5th GSR, New South Wales, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board the HMAT A15 Port Darwin 14 September 1918.

The ensuing individual soldier's embarkation information contains the following details:

After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 3 July 1919.

64031 Acting Corporal Norman Beresford BASSAN, a 19 year old Clerk from Hunters Hill, New South Wales. He enlisted on 31 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

64041 Private Richard BATEUP, a 20 year old Farmer from Dubbo, New South Wales. He enlisted on 26 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 24 July 1919.

64037 Private Lionel Archibald BATTERHAM, a 21 year old Labourer from Moonan Flat via Scone, New South Wales. He enlisted on 27 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 13 March 1919.

64045 Private Alfred Ernest BENNETT, a 21 year old Farmer from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 8 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 24 July 1919.

64044 Private William John BENNETT, a 19 year old Farm hand from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 19 September 1916. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 17 July 1919.

64042 Private Edward BOFFINGER, a 19 year old Farm hand from Armidale, New South Wales. He enlisted on 4 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 24 July 1919.

64035 Private Maurice Dominick BOLAND, an 18 year old Clerk from East Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the GSR depot; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 2 August 1919.

64033 Private Ralph Arnold BOOTS, a 19 year old Painter from Raymond Terrace, New South Wales. He enlisted on 12 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Field Squadron Engineers; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 3 July 1919.

64039 Private John Charles BRAY, a 19 year old Jackeroo from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 10 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

64032 Private Herbert Harrington BROWN, a 25 year old Dairy man from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 2 April 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64038 Private Cecil BROWNLOW, an 18 year old Boiler maker from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64043 Private Keith Edman BUCKNELL, a 28 year old Selector from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 18 March 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 24 July 1919.

64040 Private Percival BURKE, a 20 year old Farmer from Dunedoo, New South Wales. He enlisted on 21 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 15 May 1919.

64034 Private Daniel Joseph BYRNE, a 25 year old School Teacher from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 3 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 13 March 1919.

 

64047 Private Norman Grant CAVANAUGH, a 19 year old Clerk from Copmanhurst, New South Wales. He enlisted on 20 February 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

64048 Private George Dewey CAYLOR, a 20 year old Labourer from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 22 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and subsequently was Discharged in Britain 30 November 1919.

64049 Private Richard Henry CHAMPION, a 20 year old Baker from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 22 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 24 July 1919.

64051 Private Reginald CLARENCE, a 19 year old Miner from Newcastle, New South Wales. He enlisted on 13 April 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

64052 Private Eric Innes COCKS, an 18 year old Clerk from Narrabri, New South Wales. He enlisted on 20 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

64046 Private Leslie Charles CORAM, an 18 year old Electrician from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 18 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

64050 Private Arthur Percy COULIN, a 19 year old Coach Builder from Newcastle, New South Wales. He enlisted on 31 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 2 June 1919.

64055 Private Percy John DAVIS, a 21 year old Farmer from East Billabong via Parkes, New South Wales. He enlisted on 1 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

64056 Private William DEARLING, a 21 year old Fireman from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 24 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 16 March 1919.

64054 Ptr Harold John DOHERTY, a 20 year old Wheelwright from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 12 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 12th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 20 July 1919.

 

64058 Private Robert EARL, a 19 year old Labourer from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 1 July 1918. 64057 Private Richard Luther EDWARDS, a 20 year old Coal Mine Wheeler from Bulli, New South Wales. He enlisted on 28 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the Not Taken On Strength; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 2 August 1919.

 

64059 Private Stanley Roy FAYLE, a 19 year old Clerk from Murwillumbah, New South Wales. He enlisted on 28 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the AIF Canteens; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 20 September 1919.

 

64060 Private Edward GRAHAM, a 40 year old Carpenter from Lismore, New South Wales. He enlisted on 1 September 1914. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

 

64065 Private Hector HASSALL, a 19 year old Farmer from Narraburra, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 April 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64066 Private Ernest Francis Geary HENDERSON, a 22 year old Law Clerk from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 24 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64064 Private Robert William HEWITT, a 21 year old Station hand from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 6 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64062 Sapper Joseph HOLMES, a 38 year old Electrician from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 22 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Field Squadron Engineers; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 3 July 1919.

64112 Private James Edward Balford HOOKER, a 20 year old Clerk from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 24 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

64068 Private Thomas JONES, a 21 year old Clerk from Muswellbrook, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

 

64072 Private George Charles KAIN, a 43 year old Electric crane driver from Redfern, New South Wales. He enlisted on 2 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64073 Private Cuthbert Vivian KNAUER, a 23 year old Clerk from Frederickton, New South Wales. He enlisted on 5 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64071 Private Edward John KOHLER, a 20 year old Rail clerk from Kensington, New South Wales. He enlisted on 18 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 6th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

 

64076 Private Eric William LEESON, a 21 year old Farmer from Anglewood, New South Wales. He enlisted on 8 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 26 July 1919.

64077 Private Cecil Frederick LEWIS, an 18 year old Steel worker from Adamstown, New South Wales. He enlisted on 14 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 16 March 1919.

64074 Private Arthur Holden LINDEMAN, a 37 year old Grocer from Gosford, New South Wales. He enlisted on 16 January 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64075 Private John Robert Matteson LOWRY, a 19 year old Farmer from Spencers Gully Inverell, New South Wales. He enlisted on 2 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

 

64079 Private Austin McDonnall MACK, a 19 year old Jackeroo from Bingara, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 2nd Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64078 Private Frank MAYNARD, a 19 year old Farmer from Trundle, New South Wales. He enlisted on 20 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 24 July 1919.

64082 Private Francis Patrick McGRATH, a 23 year old Farmer from Mudgee, New South Wales. He enlisted on 2 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64080 Private George Francis McKAY, an 18 year old Farmer from Cessnock, New South Wales. He enlisted on 21 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 38th Company Australian Army Supply Corps; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 16 March 1919.

64081 Private Karl Arthur MITCHELL, a 21 year old Orchardist from Manly, New South Wales. He enlisted on 24 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64083 Private Hugh John MOYLAN, an 18 year old Clerk from Gunnedah, New South Wales. He enlisted on 21 March 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 24 July 1919.

 

Lieutenant William Maurice NELSON, a 21 year old Merchant from Domain, New South Wales. He enlisted on 12 September 1914. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the ships staff only; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 15 November 1918.

64085 Private Leslie Robert NEWMAN, a 36 year old Station Manager from Strathfield, New South Wales. He enlisted on 24 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64084 Private Frank Kearney NEWNHAM, an 18 year old Grazier from Gunnedah, New South Wales. He enlisted on 2 August 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 June 1919.

 

64086 Private Sherman David O'ROURKE, a 29 year old Driver from Sth Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted on 27 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 8 April 1919.

 

64088 Private Stanley Clarence PATEMAN, a 20 year old Blacksmith from Mudgee, New South Wales. He enlisted on 27 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 28 June 1919.

64087 Private Arthur Edward Claude PROCTOR, a 23 year old Motor Driver from Penrith, New South Wales. He enlisted on 29 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the GSR depot; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 16 March 1919.

64092 Private James Irwin STUART, a 35 year old Farmer from Tumut, New South Wales. He enlisted on 17 June 1918. 64096 Private Oscar George SUTTON, an 18 year old Farmer from Wellington, New South Wales. He enlisted on 1 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 3 July 1919.

64104 Private George WILKIE, a 21 year old Produce merchant from Mortlake, New South Wales. He enlisted on 1 July 1918.
