5th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 11th Reinforcements Mashrobra Group, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A47 Mashrobra 4 October 1915.

The HMAT A47 Mashobra weighed 8,174 tons with an average cruise speed of 12.5 knots or 23.15 kmph. It was owned by the British India SN Co Ltd, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 21 December 1916. The Mashobra was torpedoed and sunk in the Mediterranean, 15 April 1917.

The ensuing individual soldier's embarkation information contains the following details:

1477 Private Cecil Leonard Rodney BOYCE, a 35 year old Musician from Sandgate, Queensland. He enlisted on 19 July 1915; and subsequently was Discharged, 3 February 1920.

1459 Private Michael BRAZIL, a 30 year old Bamboo worker from Paddington, Queensland. He enlisted on 27 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 23 December 1918.
