6th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 12th Reinforcement Persic Group, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A34 Persic 18 November 1915.

The HMAT A34 Persic weighed 12,042 tons with an average cruise speed of 13 knots or 24.07 kmph. It was owned by the Oceanic SN Co Ltd, Liverpool, and leased by the Commonwealth until 8 November 1917.

The ensuing individual soldier's embarkation information contains the following details:

1642 Private Reginald Clarence MAYBURY, a 22 year old Farmer from Narromine, New South Wales. He enlisted on 24 August 1915; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 28 March 1918.

1781 Private William McCOMAS, a 32 year old Clerk from Wentworth, New South Wales. He enlisted on 11 September 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 March 1919.

1632 Private Francis Edward McGRATH, a 20 year old Cheese maker from Marrickville, New South Wales. He enlisted on 16 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 24 June 1916.

1633 Private Norman Leslie McLEAN, a 21 year old Wool classer from Concord, New South Wales. He enlisted on 11 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 12 November 1917.

1631 Private James McSWEENEY, a 25 year old Hairdresser from Albury, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 September 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 22 June 1919.
