Imperial Camel Corps, AIF, June 1917 Reinforcement Canberra Group, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board SS Canberra on 16 November 1917.

The SS Canberra weighed 7,707 tons with an average cruise speed of 16.5 knots or 30.55 kmph. It was owned by the Australian Steamships Ltd (Howard Smith), Melbourne.

3528 Private Claude THOMPSON, a 24 year old Labourer from Balmain, New South Wales. He enlisted on 22 May 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

 

3544 Private Frederick Thomas VIDLER, a 25 year old Hairdresser from Bexhill, Richmond River, New South Wales. He enlisted on 4 June 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

 

3553 Private William Peter Roy WALKER, a 19 year old Labourer from Granville, New South Wales. He enlisted on 30 April 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 January 1919.

3536 Private Leo Ernest WALTER, an 18 year old Teacher from Grafton, New South Wales. He enlisted on 16 April 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 26 July 1919.

3532 Private Arthur WARD, a 43 year old Cellarman from Marrickville, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 May 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 January 1919.

3546 Private Whyllie WATSON, a 22 year old Baker from Newton, New South Wales. He enlisted on 28 November 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 March 1919.

3534 Private Patrick Vincent WHEELER, a 23 year old Farmer from Baan Ban, New South Wales. He enlisted on 4 June 1917; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 26 August 1918.

3535 Private Percy Innes WHEELER, a 22 year old Farmer from Baan Ban, New South Wales. He enlisted on 4 June 1917; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 22 July 1918.

3529 Private Lawrence Adrian WHITE, an 18 year old Grocer from Wagga, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 April 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

3533 Private Richard Harold Laurie WHITEHOUSE, a 24 year old Farmer from Tamworth, New South Wales. He enlisted on 19 April 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 13 March 1919.

3530 Private James Thomas Ernest WHITTON, an 18 year old Labourer from Barraba, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 April 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

3531 Private George WRAY, a 29 year old Labourer from Toowong, Queensland. He enlisted on 22 May 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 13 March 1919.

 

3545 Private Roy YORKE, a 23 year old Station hand from Lorn via West Maitland, New South Wales. He enlisted on 15 May 1917; but disembarked at Fremantle and subsequently was Discharged in Australia, 22 December 1917.
