The HMAT A8 Argyllshire weighed 10,392 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the Scottish Shire Line Ltd, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 24 January 1918.

7196 Driver Ernest Chomley EGLINTON, a 26 year old Clerk from Kelvin Grove, Queensland. He enlisted on 26 May 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 12 May 1919.
7199 Driver John KENNEDY, a 24 year old Joiner from East Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted on 3 June 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 20 June 1919.
7198 Driver Samuel McLelland McWILLIAM, a 24 year old Stockman from Ormiston, Queensland. He enlisted on 17 May 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 11 May 1919.
7197 Driver Leonard Frank RICHARDSON, a 25 year old Clerk from Rockhampton, Queensland. He enlisted on 26 May 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 20 July 1919.
