Jennifer, If I were you I give a used saddle a miss. Buy one from a reputable maker such as Sid Hill. Otherwise you will end up with Indian junk or perhaps some old Poley that's been thrashed. Most Stock saddles are 16 - 17 inches and should fit your horse fine. Cost for a new good quality saddle will start from around $1,500 Aus. Good second had ones are about half this but you'd have to be lucky. You might try a reputable saddlery but make sure you check that it's a genuine Aussy made saddle. Good Luck. Chris
