My father was a member of the 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance, 27th Reinforcement A.I.F. W.W.1. I have his diary which tells me he left Sydney in May 1917 and was in the Middle East Campaign. I would like to find out more but don't know where to look. He mentions lots of strange places, Jaffa, Jericho, Hebron Road, Richon, Bethany, Talat.ed.Dumm, and some I recognise.
