For one point of of reference, Mark, Ion L.Idriess - in his book "The Desert Column" - tells that,on or around the date you give, the 1st Brigade
was fighting around the Tel El Khuweilfe area,
having gone in on foot to help the infantry in desperate fighting there. This was close by to Tel El Sheria action,where many of the casualties occurred shortly after Beersheba.
