Dont know of any sites try the Australian Army web site history pages...... they may help. My ubderstanding was that all our ground troops returned to the far east in 1942/43. We had Airforce personell in Europe and Italy during the late years of WWII but our ground troops were all brought home for defence. After WWII we had troops in Japan but Im not sure of any in the middle east.
