Being a young rider myself, and a member of the Australian Army Reserves, I have often wondered how one achieves the honour of riding in the re-enactments I have often seen at parades. Moments ago I perused the 5th lighthorse - maleny homepage and was heartened to read that prerequisites for joining such a troop are not as limiting as I imagined they would be. I would be grateful if any of you who are members of these troops and may have some spare time, would give me a brief overview of commitments and activities of these troops, especially those in the areas surrounding Brisbane.
