Your best source for the information you require is the Official History of Australia in the War of 1914-1918, Volume VII; The A.I.F. in Sinai and Palestine by H.S.Gullett. This was republished by Queensland University Press in 1984. The original was published in 1923. Most good libraries would have a copy and the local RSL would be likely to have a copy
