My Grandfather (Charles Fitzpatrick) was in the 3rd Light Horse Brigade, 8th Regiment raised in Victoria and served at Gallipoli and the Middle East. My father has a copy of a photo of a captured Turkish flag held by my Grandfather (Trooper 672, Scout)and other troopers (Now also in Aust War Museum). I'm interested in any history of the 8th Light Horse Regiment.There seems to be very little published. Anyone have any connections to the 8th Light Horse regiment? Especially any who survived The Nek and went on to the Middle East? Or members of the Scout troop raised from the 8th, 9th & 10th LH Regiments? Shaun Fitzpatrick sfitz@senet.com.au.
