I am looking for information on the buttons used on the uniforms of Lighthorsemen during the First World War. Were grey metal domed shank buttons used or plain brown buttons (or both)? I would appreciate any information as I am currently working on a project, customising a 1/6 scale figure as an Australian Lighthorseman from the First World War.
