The Northern Province Committee for the Commemoration of the Second Anglo-Boer War is planning to conduct a re-enactment of the trial of Breaker Morant. It will take place in Pietersberg South Africa on 28 April 2001.

In addition, on 29 April, a small monumnent will be unveiled at Fort Edward (30 km from Louis Trichardt (near Pietersburg) to honour the Bushveld Carbineers.

The Australian High Commission will attend the 29 April function.

The Committee would like Australian participation in the trial and would like someone to play the role of defending officer.

Is anyone likely to be in South Africa in late April who would be interested in taking part in this event?

Feel free to contact me for more details.
