Thank you for the note. It is of interest. That particular officer had not been with the 14th Hussars. I understand a number of cavalry officers were attached in the war. The 12 or so men I am looking for were all rank and file and attached for training purposes prior to the war. I believe they went to Australia from India in about 1912. I only know one of their names but was hoping one of the Australian histories might throw up a mention of this.
