With the view of producing a book on the 1st to 4th and possibly 5th Light Horse machine gun squadrons, can anyone help with photos of pack animals with Vickers machine, Lewis or Hotckhis also ok. Can you help with nominal rolls, honour rolls, honours and awards, diaries, prisoner of war or other info. I am in possession of 1-4 ALH MG SDN Diaries and nominal rolls. Public support would be appreciated. Author anticipates release of 2/4th Machine Gun Battalion book in February 2002. This book encompasses the 7th and 8th divisions and delves quite deeply into the prisoner of war experience under the Japanese. It is then intended that a book on the the above will be initiated.
