I am interested in examining the horse as used in the Anglo Scottish borders around the 1500 and while examining this I found that there was striking similarities to the lance that was used during this time to the lance that was used during the first world war. I would be interested in finding out if there was any training manual or standards manual for any light horse units on or before the first world war.
If you could put me onto any sources for this information I would be very grateful.
