There seems to be a public impression that it is the only thing the Light Horse did. Perhaps if it was made clear that 800 men did not do the job by them selves and that they were only part of the force, some balance may be restored. Also it wasnot the only charge and it was by no means the last charge. For example, try looking at the last 4 weeks of the campaign in the middle east,,,,, it is one of the most exciting events in mounted warfare
