Further to other correspondents' replies, #3020 Pte Thomas Henry Brandt, 7th Reinforcements, 35th Infantry Battalion, was a 26 y.o. tram conductor living at Queen Street, Arncliffe when he enlisted. He sailed from Sydney aboard HMAT A68 Anchises on 24 January 1917. His next of kin was stated to be Thomas Edward Brandt, father, same address. It is a possibility that he may have been in the Light Horse militia before or after the First World War. Thomas Henry Brandt's name will be listed in my forthcoming publication of the 35th Infantry Battalion (AIF)history in 2002.
