The First AIF is WWI 2nd AIF is WWII. There were no Light Horse units in the 2nd AIF. #436 James Francis Morgan was part of 6th Light Horse which was formed on 18.9.1914. THe regiment departed Australia on the Suevic on 21.12.1914. While they served on Gallipoli as infantry, it is possible that as a Driver he remained in Egypt as there wasnt much use for drivers on the peninsula.
15 Field Ambulance was formed at Tel-el-Kebir, Egypt , 24.02.1916. It moved to France as part of the 5th Division.
He was returned to Australia, 10.09.1917
