The 24th Light Horse Regiment (Gwyder Regiment)'s motto was 'deo regi patriae'. Unfortunately I am not a scholar of Latin! The regiment's crest comprised of an aboriginal carrying a shield and speer, badge has crown on top, kangaroo on left side and emu on right side. The Gwyder Regiment 'appeared' in 1937. The Order of Battle , 1912-1918 (Militia) shows the 24 LH Regiment with the territorial title of the Flinders Regiment, with the area of recruiting shown as Port Pirie, Wallaroo, Crystal Brook, Kadina, Clare and Jamestown in South Australia. Hope this is of assistance.
