Thank you for the reply.

But the answer is the same, yes Aust Army law does not allow our soldiers to be shot. But even how if you, while on active service, leave the Australia army as Morant and Handcock did to join an other countries army they are subject to their law, even if Australia is fighting with them.

So Morant and Handcock were trialed under British Law. If it was in the Great War and they joined a British unit they would have still been shot as any British soldier would have.
