Rick, your greaty-uncle, Phillip Harding William was awarded the Military Medal. The nominal roll of the AIF shows his date of enlistment as 27 October 1914 (just over 87 years ago) and date of death as 31 August 1916. Have you obtained his service record from the Australian Archives WW1 Personnel Records Service? If not, they will contain further details about his service, transfer from 10ALH to 16 Inf Bn etc. For his burial details access the Commonwealth War Graves Commission web page.
