This is not connected to the Australian Light Horse, but would anyone know of the enlistment details of Marcel Caux, the WW1 Digger who laid a wreath with the president of the NSW RSL on Remembrance Day in Sydney, Australia. Newspaper reports state that he enlisted, aged 16, in the 17th Infantry Battalion and transferred to the 20th Infantry Battalion. The AIF Nominal Roll shows no 'Marcel Caux' and a quick look at the embarkation roll of the 17th Inf Bn showed nothing as well. Perhaps he enlisted under an assumed name? He looks very sprightly for a 102 year old man!
