Jack there are a number of manuals for Mounted Infantry Drill. The correct WWI drill is the "Light Horse Manual for the Drill & Training of the Light Horse Regiments of Australia" 1st January 1910

The drill maual on this web site is incorrect for WWI as it is based on the 1937 manual for most of the important drill like Mounting and dismounting.

In the field drill was carried out from habit, Troop Drill is the most efficient way of moving bodies of horses from place to place in an orderly manner.
