'Many dropshorts dressed as Light Horsemen'? Better bone up a bit on uniforms of the First World War, because that was their uniform too! I doubt they'd take too kindly to hearing they were just trying to copy the Light Horse, and besides, where does this idea that soldiers dressed any way they wanted to come from? I've come across this before, but it's usually from people who have no idea how the army works. Soldiers didn't just wear whatever they wanted to, and 'dress like' (copy) the Light Horse if they felt like it. The number of pouches on the artillery bandolier, however, was different.
