Have you seen the picture of the Beersheba charge on another site. It indicates that it is the last cavalry charge in history. It would appear to me that this is wrong on two counts. First, were Light Horse Units considered cavalry? (I'll defer to someone who can define the difference, although I think the LH were mounted infantry.) Second, purists will know about the Polish cavalry charging the German Tanks in the opening of WW2. I think there was a US charge of Japanese tanks in the Philipines in WW2 as well. (I read it somewhere here, I think.)
