History is written by whoever wants to write it.. It's just that the victors ignore anything written by the conquered when it doesn't coincide with their own version.
Anybody ever read the Japanese version of World War 2? You might be shocked to learn that the poor, inoffensive, peace-loving Japanese were victims of an unjust war prosecuted on racial grounds, something they themselves would never, naturally, be capable of.
Turkey lost the Fitrst World War, but did you realise it actually didn't? And that Armenians were never massacred?
Don't be lulled into complacency by worn-out cliches like 'History is written by the victors'. Everybody has their own version.
