Kelly,

There is no unit history of the 12 LHR but you can try the 12/16th Hunter Rivers Lancers in Tamworth as there A Sqn in Armidale opened a museum on the Regt some time ago. One of my old mates was working on the unit History but have heard notting for some time?

Leonie on the webb site is also working on the 12 LHR and may be able to help you?

The only book I know of is called "Looking Backward" by J.E Fowler and follows his life including his time in the 12 LHR.

The Mitchell libary in Sydney has the photo book of the 12 LHR taken before it sailed in 1915. But since Bute Charters was in the 6R/12 LHR, you wont find him there. He is not show as mentioned in Fowlers book but it gives a good over veiw on the action in which he was killed.

I have seached my files as I have letters sent to relations of the dead of Beersheba from the 12 LHR but he is also not mentioned in them.

Good Luck

S.B
