Thanks for the info Rob and for the speed of reply. When you say A squadron does that apply to any squadron ? i.e. A Squadron of 4th and 12th or a B Squadron would have each been a complement of ca. 114 ? May I assume then that the combined A,B,C Squadrons of the 4th & 12th ALH Regt that charged came up to about 600 mounts ? Or would it have been much less due to sickness, shortage of mounts, command & forage/farrier duties etc ? Best regards, Jeremy.
