It all depends on what you consider as taking part in the charge - just the 2 echelons of A & B Squadrons of both the 4th & 12th ALH Regts, or whether you include the follow up with the C Squadrons (in column) and then the back-up with the 11th ALH Regt and the 5th Mounted Brigade. I would certainly not count in the Notts Batty RHA or A Btty HAC as they did not "charge". I also doubt whether the 11th ALH Regt & 5th MB "charged" - more likely a trot - but I would happy to be corrected by someone with the facts. As for whther C Squadrons trotted or charged, I really dont know. How far are you with your study work ? Regards, Jeremy.
