I have a 1915 dated yeomanry pattern saddle and at a recent arms fair have purchased a 1902 pattern bit (unusually dated 1900) complete with 1885 pattern head harness. Would the yeomanry saddle have been worn with standard issue bits etc. or was there a specific pattern to go with the special saddle? Does anyone know where I can get an original set of reins, stirrup leathers and girth to complete the setup?
