3504 Private George Edwin DERNELLEY, a 26 year old Carter from 5 Bent Street, Paddington, Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted in the AIF on 25 October 1915 and was allotted to the 19th Battalion, 8th Reinforcement which embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A35 Berrima on 12 December 1915. Subsequently DERNELLEY was transferred to the 2nd Battalion. DERNELLEY was Wounded in Action, 20 July 1916 at Fromelles, France. During the Great War DERNELLEY Returned to Australia, 12 May 1918.
