The Four Horsemen 
 

The above picture is of four men on horseback just prior to embarkation. They are from left to right Francis Duncan Irvine, (Killed in Action, 25 April 1915), Brigade Major to Colonel MacLaurin; Lieutenant Colonel Astley John Onslow Thompson, (Killed in Action, 26 April 1915), Commanding Officer 4th Infantry Battalion; Colonel Henry Normand MacLaurin, (Killed in Action, 27 April 1915), General Officer Commanding, 1st Infantry Brigade; and Major Charles Melville MacNaghten, Second in Command, 4th Infantry Battalion. The first three were killed in action at Gallipoli.
