They are from left to right Francis Duncan Irvine, (Killed in Action, 25 April 1915), Brigade Major to Colonel MacLaurin; Lieutenant Colonel Astley John Onslow Thompson, (Killed in Action, 26 April 1915), Commanding Officer 4th Infantry Battalion; Colonel Henry Normand MacLaurin, (Killed in Action, 27 April 1915), General Officer Commanding, 1st Infantry Brigade; and Major Charles Melville MacNaghten, Second in Command, 4th Infantry Battalion. The first three were killed in action at Gallipoli.
