582 Private Ernest MITCHELL, a 21 year old Painter from Crofton Street, Bundaberg, Queensland. He enlisted on 19 August 1914 and was allotted to the 9th Battalion, E Company which embarked from Brisbane, Queensland, on board HMAT A5 Omrah on 24 September 1914. MITCHELL subsequently was Wounded in Action, 27 April 1915. During the Great War, MITCHELL Returned to Australia, 15 August 1915.
