Captain William Hildrige Armstrong MACDONNELL, a 22 year old Metallurgical engineer from Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted in the AIF on 20 January 1916 and was allotted to the 42nd Battalion, A Company which embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A30 Borda on 5 June 1916. During the Great War MACDONNELL was Killed in Action, 3 July 1918.
