1973 Private Charles Napier MORTON, a 20 year old Farmer from 92 Warren Street, Valley, Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted in the AIF on 1 June 1915 and was allotted to the 25th Battalion, 3rd Reinforcement which embarked from Brisbane, Queensland, on board HMAT A55 Kyarra on 16 August 1915. MORTON subsequently was allotted to the 7th Trench Mortar Battery. During the Great War MORTON was Killed in Action, 5 November 1916.
