On 8 June 1967, the sister of William Lang, Mrs Kathleen T Steley nee Lang, applied to receive his Gallipoli Medal.

It is interesting to note the family history is that Will was wounded on the 12th after the battle of Lone Pine and the official records are that he was wounded in the attack on the 6th. |
