11th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 7th Reinforcements Suffolk Group, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A23 Suffolk 30 November 1915.

The HMAT A23 Suffolk weighed 7573 tons with an average cruise speed of 12 knots or 22.22 kmph. It was owned by the Potter, Trinder and Gwyn, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 14 June 1917.

1359 Private Desmond Paul PRENDERGAST, a 39 year old Cook from Morven, Queensland. He enlisted on 4 October 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 21 November 1916.

1450 Private Martin Edward PRZIBILLA, a 23 year old Farmer from Waterloo, South Australia. He enlisted on 10 September 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 12 November 1917.

 

1365 Private Hans RASMUSSEN, an 18 year old Labourer from Rosedale, Queensland. He enlisted on 31 August 1915; but Did Not Embark and subsequently was Discharged, 16 December 1915.

1362 Private Edgar Charles REIMER, an 18 year old Carpenter from Grafton, New South Wales. He enlisted on 13 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 9 December 1918.

1364 Private Curtis Edwin RIGBY, a 19 year old Clerk from Warwick, Queensland. He enlisted on 24 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 22 August 1919.

1361 Private John William RYAN, a 30 year old Planter from Rockhampton, Queensland. He enlisted on 18 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

 

1369 Private Clarence Aubrey SMITH, an 18 year old Farmer from Warwick, Queensland. He enlisted on 21 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 20 July 1919.

1382 Private Ernest John SMITH, an 18 year old Porter from Ipswich, Queensland. He enlisted on 23 September 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 12 November 1917.

1371 Private George Oliver SMYTHE, a 25 year old Labourer from Helidon, Queensland. He enlisted on 6 September 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 2 August 1919.

1363 Private Hector SOLOMON, a 20 year old Painter from Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted on 18 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 27 March 1920.

1367 Private Arthur SPITHILL, a 21 year old Labourer from Arncliffe, New South Wales. He enlisted on 30 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 12 December 1918.

1368 Private Robert William STEEL, an 18 year old Grocer from Warwick, Queensland. He enlisted on 20 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 May 1919.

1366 Private Thomas Henry STERRY, a 25 year old Storeman from Red Hill, Queensland. He enlisted on 30 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 12 May 1919.

1372 Private Albert Edward STUNDEN, a 33 year old Hairdresser from Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted on 23 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 21 January 1919.

1370 Private Charley John Forest SWINBURNE, an 18 year old Grazier from Tooyburra, Queensland. He enlisted on 6 September 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 January 1919.

 

1373 Private Harold Wilfred UNDERWOOD, an 18 year old Butcher from Mt Gravatt, Queensland. He enlisted on 23 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 15 August 1916.

 

1377 Private Leslie William WALLACE, an 18 year old Tailor from Warwick, Queensland. He enlisted on 29 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 15 February 1917.
