9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Canterbury Slope
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - One Officer, Lieutenant Williams and 20 Other Ranks marched in at 1030.
Sergeant AR Matthews of D Squadron promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant to date from 8 September 1915. [Australian and New Zealand Orders]
Hill shelled with shrapnel for 35 minutes from the direction of W Hill. About 50 shells fell but no damage done and no one hurt.

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Hod Nabit
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Carrying out Routine Work.
On alternate days, one Squadron takes over line of Outposts running from Bayed to Bada and thus connecting with the Imperial Camel Corps on right and New Zealand Mounted Rifles on left.
Brigade Order received. The Brigade to move out at 0900 and take over line Hod Hisha - Abd - Bada from New Zealand Mounted Rifles Brigade. The 2nd Light Horse Brigade will relieve 3rd Light Horse Brigade.
