Sinai, 9 January 1917

1st Australian Field Squadron Engineers, "C" Troop, War Diary Account

The following is a transcription of the 1st Australian Field Squadron Engineers, "C" Troop, War Diary Account detailing their role at the Battle of Rafa, Sinai, 9 January 1917.

El Risa 8 January 1917

Moved with 3rd Light Horse Brigade en route to Sheikh Zowaiid arriving there at 2300.

Sheikh Zowaiid 9 January 1917

Developed and improved water supply for watering Brigade.

Sheikh Zowaiid 10 January 1917

Lifted water supply gear and moved from Sheikh Zowaiid at 1530 en route for Masaid arriving there at2330 and prepared water supply for Brigade.
