2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance, AIF, 11th Reinforcement, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A47 Mashobra 4 October 1915.
The HMAT A47 Mashobra weighed 8,174 tons with an average cruise speed of 12.5 knots or 23.15 kmph. It was owned by the British India SN Co Ltd, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 21 December 1916. The Mashobra was torpedoed and sunk in the Mediterranean, 15 April 1917.

Embarkation Roll
1700 Driver Albert ASKIN, a 26 year old Labourer from Crows Nest, Queensland. He enlisted on 2 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 29 April 1919.
1705 Private Henry DEVLIN, a 29 year old Labourer from Waratah, New South Wales. He enlisted on 6 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 2 August 1919.
1702 Private Thomas James KENNEDY, a 21 year old Dental mechanic from Hawthorne Bulimba, Queensland. He enlisted on 4 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 13 March 1919.
1703 Private Edward Drayton RIDGWAY, a 22 year old Fireman from Drayton, Queensland. He enlisted on 2 August 1915; and subsequently Died of Wounds, 11 August 1918.
1704 Private Thomas Wallace TENCH, a 23 year old Labourer from Toowoomba, Queensland. He enlisted on 12 June 1915; and subsequently Died of Disease, 1 September 1916.
1701 Driver John Arthur TOMLINSON, a 24 year old Grocer from Crows Nest, Queensland. He enlisted on 2 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 12 November 1917.
