7th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 15th Reinforcement, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A67 Orsova 11 March 1916.

The HMAT A67 Orsova weighed 12,036 tons with an average cruise speed of 18 knots or 33.33 kmph. It was owned by the Orient SN Co Ltd, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 28 February 1917.

RMS Mongolia

 

7th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 19th Reinforcement, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board RMS Mongolia on 8 July 1916.

The RMS Mongolia weighed 4,892 tons with an average cruise speed of 12 knots or 22.22 kmph. It was owned by the  Indian & Peninsular St. Nav Co Ltd Glasgow.  Torpedoed and sunk on 21 July 1918.

2806 Private Oswald ATKINS, a 21 year old Station hand from Dungog, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 29 April 1919.

 

2807 Private Oliver Claude BARNES, a 20 year old Farmer from Narrandera, New South Wales. He enlisted on 11 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 4 March 1919.

2808 Private Cecil Erwin BRIDGETT, a 22 year old Traveller from Dora Creek, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 26 July 1919.

2809 Private Thomas Charles BUTTER, a 24 year old Labourer from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 8 December 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 January 1919.

 

2811 Private Thomas Griffith CHIVERS, a 25 year old Labourer from Gunnedah, New South Wales. He enlisted on 20 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 27 June 1919.

2812 Private James COCHURA, a 30 year old Labourer from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 20 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 26 January 1919.

2813 Private Edward Charles COHEN, a 20 year old Station Overseer from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 11 March 1916; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 26 December 1918.

 

R972 Private John Alexander DEAN, a 25 year old Station Overseer from Woollahra, New South Wales. He enlisted on 2 March 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 28 December 1917.

2814 Private John Anthony DRISCOLL, a 21 year old Labourer from Surry Hills, New South Wales. He enlisted on 28 December 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

 

2815 Private Walter Alfred Gordon GENDLE, a 20 year old Carter from Liverpool, New South Wales. He enlisted on 19 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

2816 Private Joseph Bede GILLIGAN, a 20 year old Labourer from Coonamble, New South Wales. He enlisted on 2 November 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 14 March 1919.

2817 Private James GRADY, a 23 year old Farmer from Tuggeranong, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

 

2818 Private George Gibson HARLAND, a 21 year old Clerk from Naremburn, New South Wales. He enlisted on 6 December 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 22 November 1919.

2819 Private James Arthur HAZELGROVE, a 22 year old Baker from Candelo, New South Wales. He enlisted on 20 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 March 1919.

2836 Private Ernest Stephen HELLMUND, a 32 year old Labourer from Coaldale, New South Wales. He enlisted on 31 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

2820 Private Stanley Craster HUMBLE, an 18 year old Jackeroo from The Bridge, New South Wales. He enlisted on 3 March 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 18 June 1919.

 

R112 Sergeant David JAMES, a 29 year old Labourer from Stockton, New South Wales. He enlisted on 26 September 1914; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 18 December 1918.

 

2822 Private Henry John KING, a 25 year old Wool classer from Croydon Park, New South Wales. He enlisted on 26 October 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 15 November 1918.

2821 Private Ernest John KINKADE, a 42 year old Labourer from Alexandria, New South Wales. He enlisted on 7 January 1916; and subsequently Died of Disease, 9 September 1916.

 

2833 Private Robert MATTHEWS, a 28 year old Labourer from Dalgety, New South Wales. He enlisted on 17 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 13 March 1919.

2832 Acting Lance Sergeant Arthur Herbert McKELL, a 19 year old Clerk from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 31 December 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 January 1919.

2823 Private Herbert George MOORE, a 23 year old Engine driver from North Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 22 November 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 17 July 1919.

2824 Private James Archibald MUIR, a 25 year old Labourer from Queanbeyan, New South Wales. He enlisted on 19 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 March 1919.

 

2825 Private Samuel Colin Stuart NICHOLSON, a 24 year old Farrier from Wellington, New South Wales. He enlisted on 4 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

 

2826 Private Michael John O'CONNELL, a 21 year old Foreman Lumberyard from Ballina, New South Wales. He enlisted on 24 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

 

2827 Private James Harcourt RICHARDS, a 25 year old Horse breaker from Parramatta Nth, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 February 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

2835 Private Herbert Carrington RIDLEY, a 29 year old Farmer from Crows Nest, New South Wales. He enlisted on 10 January 1916; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 21 May 1917.

2828 Private Ernest Theodore ROBERTSON, a 21 year old Farmer from Bendora, New South Wales. He enlisted on 28 December 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 July 1919.

 

R960 Private Frances Isaac SAUL, a 19 year old Labourer from Yanda Station, Bourke, New South Wales. He enlisted on 11 January 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

2829 Private Frederick Ladson STEGGLES, a 24 year old Farm labourer from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 1 February 1916; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 25 September 1918.

 

2830 Acting Sergeant Robert Wooldridge TELFER, a 26 year old Engine driver from Parramatta Nth, New South Wales. He enlisted on 7 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

2831 Private George Thomas James TURNER, a 26 year old Labourer from Riverside via Forbes, New South Wales. He enlisted on 19 October 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 30 August 1918.

 

R971 Private Alfred Clarence YOUDALE, a 26 year old Commercial Traveller from Ashfield, New South Wales. He enlisted on 3 July 1915; and subsequently was Discharged in Britain, 20 February 1917.
