1st Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 2nd Reinforcements, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A25 Anglo Egyptian 8 February 1915.

The HMAT A25 Anglo Egyptian weighed 7,379 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the Nitrate Producers SS Co, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 16 April 1917.

710 Private John William BOWEN, a 36 year old Rail fetter from Boggabri, New South Wales. He enlisted on 9 November 1914; and at the conclusion of the war, Returned to Australia, 13 March 1919.

739 Private Valentine Fenell BOWLER, a 22 year old Grazier from Annandayle, New South Wales. He enlisted on 27 January 1915; and subsequently Died of Wounds, 7 August 1915.

709 Private Albert BULMER, a 28 year old Shearer from Brighton, Victoria. He enlisted on 12 December 1914; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 7 August 1915.

753 Private Marshall BURROWS, a 30 year old Fuelman from Enmore, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 November 1914; and at the conclusion of the war, Returned to Australia, 3 March 1919.

714 Private David D'Este DEAN, a 25 year old Labourer from Lockhart, New South Wales. He enlisted on 21 November 1914; and at the conclusion of the war, Returned to Australia, 9 July 1919.

713 Private Joseph DODD, a 29 year old Labourer from Germantown, New South Wales. He enlisted on 17 November 1914; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 15 November 1918.

 

716 Private Athol Bert EATHER, a 21 year old Well borer from Moree, New South Wales. He enlisted on 3 November 1914; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 7 August 1915.

715 Private Alfred Playstead ESLAKE, a 21 year old Mail driver from Leichhardt, New South Wales. He enlisted on 11 December 1914; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 14 December 1918.

 

702 Sergeant William Henry FINCH, a 40 year old Engine smith from Surry Hills, New South Wales. He enlisted on 1 October 1914; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 27 July 1917.

 

718 Private William HARDY, a 40 year old Butcher from Alexandria, New South Wales. He enlisted on 5 December 1914; and at the conclusion of the war, Returned to Australia, 16 January 1919.

717 Private Frederick John HUMFREY, an 18 year old Ganger from Turee Cassilis, New South Wales. He enlisted on 12 September 1914; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 14 December 1918.

 

734A Private Percy Alexander IRELAND, a 26 year old Waiter and Labourer from Wee Waa, New South Wales / Muswellbrook, New South Wales. He enlisted on 14 November 1914; and at the conclusion of the war, Returned to Australia, 10 January 1920.

1st Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 6th Reinforcements, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A65 Clan McEwen on 28 June 1915.

The HMAT A65 Clan McEwen weighed 5,140 tons with an average cruise speed of 15 knots or 27.78 kmph. It was owned by the Cayser, Irvin and Co, Glasgow, and leased by the Commonwealth until 14 April 1917.
