9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Broadmeadows, Victoria.
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Organising, training and equipping of troops.
1916
Sunday, January 30, 1916
9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Heliopolis, Egypt.
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Generals Birdwood and Spense attended Church Parade 1100. Under instructions from Brigade this Regiment furnished one Squadron as part of a Special Piquet Regiment supplied by the Brigade for duty in the canal. 250 rounds per man was issued. This party returned at 1400. They encountered no trouble.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Commanding Officer of Regiment and Squadron Leaders attended demonstration of artillery firing in conjunction with aeroplane observation. Second party of Other Ranks left for two days leave to Port Said.
