9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Organising, training and equipping of troops.
1916
Sunday, February 6, 1916
9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Heliopolis, Egypt.
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - At 0400 received instruction to turn out three officers and 72 Other Ranks as part of a Squadron from the Brigade to piquet the railway lines for the day. Private information was received that the railway bridges were to be blown up today. Troops recalled at 1700. Everything is quiet.
1917
Tuesday, February 6, 19179th Light Horse Regiment Location - Hod Masaid, Sinai.
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - 1200 General Officer in Command Brigade inspected the lines - men standing to their horses. 1500 General Officer in Command, Royston, Brigadier General JR, inspected the horses of the Regiment. Each horse being marched past.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Shaw, Lieutenant OJ, returned from Cairo. Pascoe, Lieutenant WEH, reported from Moascar.

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Tripoli, Lebanon.
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - 0900 Cross country race - five miles run by various teams of twelve. 3rd Light Horse Brigade units participated and won by the 10th Light Horse Regiment.
