9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Gazli Beit Dere
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Constructing road up gully from Brigade Headquarters to Canterbury Slope.
9th Light Horse Regiment Routine Order No. 2
Para 117 Brigade Headquarters. The new area to be occupied by the Brigade Headquarters will be known as Sazli Terraces.
8. Machine Gun. A Vickers Machine Gun arrived today. OC D Squadron will detail a party to take instruction daily at 1700 under the MG Staff Officer.
8. New position on Canterbury Slopes. The Regiment will take over the Garrison on Canterbury Slopes tomorrow at 1000. All ranks will be ready to move at 0900. The quartermaster will precede the party and take over stores.
9. Suffolk Regiment. A number of the 1/5th Suffolk Regiment will report tonight to make the Regimental Strength up to 300 all ranks.
10. Time. In future, the Naval system of time will be used.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - nine Other Ranks marched in from Moascar. Combined Church Parade in afternoon.
Freebairn, Lieutenant DT; and, 30 Other Ranks returned from Abasan el Kebir water guard.

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Ludd area
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Campaign against venereal disease commenced by chaplain and medical officers.
1400 Captain R Baker, Regimental Medical Officer, 10th Light Horse Regiment lectured to Regiment on Venereal Disease dealing only with the medical aspect of the subject. Classes in swordsmanship for officers commenced under direction of Kavanagh, Major GSO2, Australian Mounted Division.
Training carried out per syllabus. Owing to limited time allowed the Brigade to become efficient in Cavalry Drill and Tactics and use of the sword before operations commenced it was found necessary to adhere to the following routine if the desired result was to be attained.
Reveille 0430, Dismounted Training 0500 - 0600, Mounted training and watering 0800 - 1100, lecture in afternoon one hour.
