The main source for you is the Official History of Australia in the War of 1914-1918 Vol.VII by Henry Gullett Originally Published in 1923 by Angus and Robertson but reprinted by Qld University Press in paperback about 7 years ago. There is probably a unit History for 7th Light Horse Regiment but i dont have those details at my finger tips. Contact me later on thomasrh@powerup.com.au and I may be able to help after some research.
There is also a resource which gives the details of all the regiments and where they were attached at certain times during the war.... this is on the ADFA site and is part of a thesis on the colour patches for all AIF units
