The 5th Light Horse had been holding Wilson's Lookout, the absolute southernmost position on the Anzac line, until relieved by the 6th Light Horse on 26 November. During these three weeks it had suffered 17 killed and 64 wounded. Two of those killed, Trooper Flaherty and Sergeant Leishman, died on the last day of the regiment's occupation and are buried side-by-side in Shell Green cemetery. Neither man's headstone is inscribed with an epitaph. This information (minus the names etc.) is from the 5th Light Horse history pp 41-42.

If you'd like a transcript of the actual pages, let me know and I'll email it to you.
